All our customers receive an online map with indications of points of interest, and with location of hotels, train stations, airports, and car rental agencies that will be used throughout the trip. In this article we explain how to get the best out of these maps step by step.

1.- Open the map from your Google account

When confirming your trip we will ask you to provide us with a Google account. Once all the details of accommodation, itinerary, means of transport, etc are closed, we will take care of creating an online map with all this information. Once created, we will send an invitation to you by email. Although the map can be opened with your mobile, everything will be much easier if you open it from your computer the first time.

1.1.- From the email that we have sent you with the invitation, click on the link to open the map

1.2.- The link will direct you to the Google Maps application. Make sure you are connected to the same account that you have given us in case you use several ones. To do this, simply click on the upper right corner to see the user and connect with another one if necessary.With these simple steps you have already connected the map to your account. Now the map is yours too! You can share it with family and friends, you can add or remove points to it, etc.

In order to see the map on your mobile for the first time, you have to do some additional steps, very simple too, but here we are to guide you

1.3-. Open your Google Maps application on your mobile. Make sure that on your mobile you are also with the same Gmail user that you have given us, checking the profile on the top right

1.4.- Click on the icon to access your saved places on the bottom link

1.5.- From the menu with your saved places, go to the “Maps” option

1.6.- Open the map with the name we sent you

1.7.- And there you go !! Now you are using google maps with a preset of all our interest points

2.- Download the map for offline use

We always advise you to download the complete map of the area that you will going to on your mobile. We are not talking about downloading only the points of interest we have sent you, but to the entire street map from Google. This will be very useful to avoid charges for roaming your company in many countries, and to be able to continue your route in areas where there is no good connection.

Google Maps allows you to download the areas you want to your mobile with the following simple steps.

2.1.- Open Google Maps on your mobile, and go to the “Offline Maps” option.

2.2.- Click on the option to select your own map

2.3.- Select the area you want to download to use without connection. The more you cover, the more space the map will take in your mobile. Make sure you are connected to a WiFi before downloading.

2.4.- Map downloaded ! From this moment, whenever you want to see something from that area on your mobile, Google Maps will use the map you have downloaded. Your mobile’s GPS works without an Internet connection, so you can see the world without consuming data.
